Chief Operating Officer (COO)

He has more than 26 years of experience in both Corporate as well as in Development Sectors. He is adept in project managementin the development sector. He is also hands on in financial management, budgetary control, project monitoring, grant management, FCRA compliances, business planning, and contract negotiations with stakeholders.

He has vast experience in providing guidance to administration, HR, and governance functions of the company for ensuring appropriate systems and process. He had also undertaken multiple training assignments at BASIX, in topics that include legal compliances for FPOs, business planning, financial management, working capital management and development of book keeping and accounting systems etc., for various community based organizations, resource organizations etc.

Sanjib Sarangi

Chief Fundraising Officer (CFRO)

A development practitioner in the field of environmental conservation and livelihoods having more than two decades of experience. He has been trained in Asset-Based and Citizen centric Development by Coady International Institute, Canada and in leadership by IIM Bangalore in Aritra programme.

He pioneered some of the exemplary works including Community-based Ecotourism at Mangalajodi, Odisha and Rebuilding Resilient Livelihoods for relocated communities from tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha. His efforts have led to IGS's work being widely appreciated on national and international forum, including the prestigious UNWTO Award for 2018 that the Mangalajodi initiative won at Madrid for Innovation in Enterprise.

Kumaresh Rout


Kumaresh Rout has extensive development sector experience spanning over 25 years. A PostGraduate in Rural Management from XISS. His career highlight is working in development sector with a commercial blend. He acquired skills of rural marketing for innovative technology, institutional development services, and rural financing. He led the monitoring and evaluation team and designing a field guidebook for SHG project funded by World Bank. He handhold and technically guided number of early growth rural enterprises. His exposure in the financial space cuts across various business themes in Microfinance and Agri-business Finance. He led a fund worth INR 18 Cr. which made a INR 70 Cr. credit and INR 4.5 Cr. worth of grant projects.

Bhaskar Chandra Sahoo

Regional Head-Odisha

Bhaskar has 17 years of rich experience in livelihood sector. He specializes in financial inclusion services, entrepreneurship development and enterprise promotion. He is adept in promoting grassroot level institutions like; SHGs, FPOs and nurture them in enterprise development journey for establishing livelihood ventures.

He did MBA and holds a master's degree in Sociology. Did his PG Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from NIHRD, PG Diploma in Rural Development, from IGNOU. He has polished his expertise in microfinance management, community enterprise undergoing trainings by NABARD, BIRD, and Odisha Forestry Sector Development Society.

Bhaskar Singh Baghel

Regional Head-Madhya Pradesh & Rajasthan

Bhaskar, a development professional has more than 20 years of experience, working in various capacities in several credible organisations. Completed his Masters both in Economics and Rural Development. His expertise include project Management, involved in the effective implementation of MGNREGA, advocacy for shelter rights of the urban poor, inclusive finance for 1000 urban poors and process and system for successful repayment of microcredit, supported migrants through vocational training and institution building (farmers collective), imparted business skills to weavers, market support to rural women, promoted micro-enterprises, value chain development of Agri and allied sector, model village initiative, rural tourism.

He has rich experience of working with government organisations such as Rural Development Department Uttar Pradesh, Carpet Sector Skill Council, BRLPS, OPELIP, SFAC, NABARD, MPTB.

Mahender Tammala

Head-Company Secretarial Services

Mahender did Master's in both Corporate Secretaryship and Commerce from Alagappa University, Karaikudi and Osmania University, Hyderabad. He provides company secretarial services to IGS and BASIX Group Companies. He has 27 years of experience in the areas of corporate governance, regulatory and internal compliances. He is instrumental in incorporation of various group companies and ensure compliance under the relevant Acts. He leads overall compliances under the Companies Act, organising the meetings of the Committees, Board, and General Meeting, drafting minutes of those meetings, and filing forms and returns as needed. He supported the group Chairman in settingup and running of Sa-Dhan, the Association of Community Development Finance Institutions and Microfinance Institutions Network (MFIN).

Anindya Chakraborty

Head, Finance and MIS

Anindya Chakraborty has 14 years of experience in accounts and finance. He is a graduate in commerce from Calcutta University. He started his career with Association for Sarva Seva Firm (ASSEFA) as an Accountant and then managed accounts in different field units of IGS. He is Well versed with MS office, Managing significant finance portfolio of the company and the financial policy changes of the larger environment. Anindya managed large foreign funds in programme management such as DID, SDC, FORD, RBS Foundation, USAID.

Bokkala Mounika

Senior Human Resource Executive

Bokkala Mounika has over 7 years of diversified experience in Human Resources Management. Expertise in handling stakeholder management, human resource management, recruitment, HR Operations & general administration. In her last assignment, she was associated with Sub-K Impact Solutions in Human Resources at Head Office, Hyderabad. She is a Computer Engineering Graduate from JNTU Hyderabad.
